Peter Worley

Peter is the CEO and co-founder of The Philosophy Foundation. He is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts and is currently attempting to undertake a PhD at King’s College London researching pedagogy in Plato. He is the author of The If Machine: Philosophical Enquiry in The Classroom (Continuum 2011) and the follow-up The If Odyssey: A Philosophical Journey Through Greek Myth and Storytelling for 8-16-year-olds (Continuum 2012). He has co-written, with Andrew Day, a collection of philosophical poetry for primary aged children called Thoughtings: Puzzles, Problems and Paradoxes in Poetry to Think With and has just published Once Upon An If: Storytelling For Thinking with Bloomsbury. He lives in South East London with his wife, Emma and their daughter Katie. Peter is the newly elected President of SOPHIA.
